Gresham's Equality Objectives

Gresham Primary School is an inclusive school where we focus on the well-being and progress of every child and where all members of our community are of equal worth.

We welcome our duties under the Equality Act 2010 to eliminate discrimination, advance equality of opportunity and foster good relations in relation to age (as appropriate), disability, ethnicity, gender (including issues of transgender, and of maternity and pregnancy), religion and belief, and sexual identity. We continually review our equality objectives and report annually on progress towards achieving them. To further enhance Gresham Primary School’s vision, our current objectives are as follows:

Objective 1

To ensure that the Pupil Premium Strategy and related funding accelerates progress for disadvantaged pupils.

Objective 2

To increase awareness of, and have processes in place which effectively identify and remedy, any racial prejudice and discrimination, promoting a culture of inclusivity and understanding.

Objective 3

Give pupils the knowledge and skills they need to avoid being the perpetrator or victim of harassment or victimisation.

Full details explaining why these objectives were chosen and how we intend to achieve them are outlined fully in our Equality Objectives Statement
