Gresham's Equality Objectives

Gresham Primary School is an inclusive school where we focus on the well-being and progress of every child and where all members of our community are of equal worth.

We welcome our duties under the Equality Act 2010 to eliminate discrimination, advance equality of opportunity and foster good relations in relation to age (as appropriate), disability, ethnicity, gender (including issues of transgender, and of maternity and pregnancy), religion and belief, and sexual identity. We continually review our equality objectives and report annually on progress towards achieving them. To further enhance Gresham Primary School’s vision, our current objectives are as follows:

Objective 1

To ensure that the Pupil Premium Strategy and related funding accelerates progress for disadvantaged pupils with particular gains sought in writing.

Objective 2

To ensure there is equity in access to and achievement in the curriculum for pupils of all groups.

Objective 3

To ensure pupils with SEND develop the same level of independence as their non-SEND peers and achieve the best possible outcomes relative to their starting points.

Full details explaining why these objectives were chosen and how we intend to achieve them are outlined fully in our Equality Objectives Statement
